Celebrate DePere’s annual Children’s Fishing Tournament is proud to again be sponsored by Metal Storm Inc. of DePere. So please join us on Sunday from 9 AM to 11 AM for lots of family fun and excitement at the tournament. All kids from ages 5 to 15 are welcome to participate (must be the main Fisherman ) and must be accompanied by an adult or guardian to register their fish. Please bring your own poles and bait and have a great time with all the young fishermen trying to catch the biggest fish.
There will be a presentation of awards for the winners of the children’s fishing tournament on the Main stage between 11:15 AM and 11:45am following the Tournament. This year the first place fisherman in each of the three species categories, game fish, pan fish and rough fish will win a guided fishing trip as well as a plaque to commemorate their trophy fish. And the 2nd and 3rd place winners in each category will each receive a gift certificate and a monster Musky lure donated by Smokey's on the Bay as well as a plaque to showcase their expertise( or luck) as a trophy fisherman. These new and exciting prizes for the 2026 fishing tournament are in collaboration of Metal Storm, Fisheries Forever, Smokey' on the Bay and No Butz About It Guide Service and your host Celebrate DePere.
Also, all participants will get a chance to win a brand new rod and reel from our friends at Fisheries Forever. And this year thanks to our friends at Green Bay Great Lakes Sports Fishermen and Dennis Butz of No Butz About It Guide Service, one lucky fishermen will win the GRAND PRIZE of a guided fishing trips for themselves, their guardian and friends ( total of 4 people) and best of all ........ALL fishermen will have a chance to win this prize regardless of your luck at catching a fish. MAKE SURE YOU'RE THERE AS YOU MUST BE PRESENT TO WIN!
Gates will open at 8:30 am for the participants and their families. Nobody will be let in prior to this time. Fishing will take place near the boat docks area. Only fish caught after 9:00am will be eligible for registration. All fishing tournament participants and their guardians can enter the Celebrate De Pere grounds for free before 10;30 am.
Select Vendors will be open for food and beverage purchases. A special "THANKS" to Chris Hendricks and our Friends at Fisheries Forever for partnering with our fantastic event sponsor, Metal Storm in helping make this years guided fishing trips a reality and for making lifelong memories for so many boys and girls.
