This year Celebrate DePere’s annual Children’s Fishing Tournament is proud to again be hosted by Metal Storm Inc. of DePere. So please join us on Sunday from 9 AM to 11 AM for lots of family fun and excitement at the tournament. All kids from ages 5 to 15 are welcome to participate (must be the main Fisherman ) and must be accompanied by an adult or guardian to register their fish. Please bring your own poles and bait and have a great time with all the young fishermen trying to catch the biggest fish.

There will be a presentation of awards for the winners of the children’s fishing tournament on the Main stage between 11:15 AM and 11:45am following the Children’s Fishing Tournament.

All participants will get a chance to win a brand, new rod and reel from our friends at Fisheries Forever and Green Bay Great Lakes Sports Fisherman Association. And this year for the FIRST TIME EVER thanks to our friends at Fisheries Forever several lucky fishermen will win guided fishing trips for themselves and their guardian/parent. (Rules will apply)  And there will be an additional GRAND PRIZE  provided by GBGLSFA and ALL fishermen will have a chance to win! Gates will open at 8:30 am for the participants and their families. Nobody will be let in prior to this time. Fishing will take place near the boat docks area. Only fish caught after 9:00am will be eligible for registration. All fishing tournament participants and their guardians can enter the Celebrate De Pere grounds for free before 10 am.

Select Vendors will be open for food and beverage purchases. There will also be a special treat all anglers and their helpers, as our friends at Scooters Coffee are offering all a cup of their warm and refreshing coffee!

A special "THANKS" to Chris Hendricks and our  Friends at Fisheries Forever for helping make this years guided fishing trips a reality and for making lifelong memories for so many boys and girls. Also a shout out to the Greg Wierzba at GMW Guide Service, Gary Nault at Gary's Guide Service and Captain Bob Claus at FinFanatic Charters for their helping make so many dreams come true for some young anglers at this years children's fishing tournament.
